The eight steps to high self esteem
Jackie experienced self-esteem issues for most of her life. She believes that confidence and self-esteem are two different things: you can be confident in what you do, but have a self-image that allows others to treat you disrespectfully (a ‘victim mentality’). Most of Jackie’s exploration of ‘alternative’ therapies and philosophies have been driven by a desire to find peace within herself. This is what she shares with others in the workshop.
To raise our self-esteem we must learn to treat ourselves with respect and care, replacing our ”not good enough’ gremlins with self-encouragement.
The workshop environment enables people to see that they are not ‘alone’ in experiencing low self esteem. Jackie believes that this issue affects men and women equally but that women often find it more acceptable to talk about it than men.
In this workshop you learn how to practice self-acceptance and will leave with tools to maintain your improved image of yourself.
Jackie’s next workshop “The eight steps to high self esteem” will be held at the Folk House, Bristol on Saturday 19 June 2010.
